Dona Marie Adams, age 68, daughter of Harlan and Myrtle (Melton) Hires was born August 10, 1940 in Casey, IL. She passed away July 8, 2009 at her home in Elk Creek, MO.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Dona is survived by her husband William “Bill” Adams of the home, 5 children; Robert Adams of Vancouver, WA, Barton Adams of NE, Daniel Adams of Omaha, NE, Stacy Colgan of Bucyrus, MO and Dawn Box of Elk Creek, MO, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 sister Kay Lewis of Guthrie, OK and several nieces and nephews.
She grew up in Illinois and Colorado. Dona married William H. Adams on April 8, 1964 in Denver, CO and to this union 5 children were born.
Dona was baptized August 17, 2003 in the Piney River, Houston, MO.
She was a loving housewife and mother. Dona loved painting, singing and dancing. She also liked to do arts and crafts, and was a collector of various things. Dona also was known as “The Doll Doctor” as she would fix broken dolls.
Dona will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
