Nancy "Baby" Jean Blount Walser, 55, died Thursday, July 30, 2009, at her home in Yukon.
She was born March 23, 1954, in Pecos, Texas, daughter of Gene and Lilalea McKensie Blount. She and Roger Dale Walser were married April 30, 1973.
She grew up in Pecos, Texas. She and her husband, Roger, moved to Yukon in August 1979. They made their home there 30 years.
She loved flower gardening, puzzles and reading. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and children. She was a Christian.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Walser of the home; six children, Jamye Dale Walser of Republic, Cassie Ann Brown of Wichita, Kan., Damon Leon Walser of Houston and Melissa Ann Phillips, Tessa Anne Walser and Miranda Jean Walser of Yukon; seven granddaughters; three grandsons; her parents, Gene and Lilalea Blount of Pecos, Texas; three brothers, Randy Blount and Nolan Blount of Pecos, Texas, and Richard Blount of Qatar; two sisters, Jackie Hunter of Mathif, Texas, and Sandra Hendricks of Odessa, Texas; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Nancy Walser Memorial Fund c/o Evans Funeral Home.
