Edith Westerman, 85, died Sunday, Aug. 16, at The Meridian Nursing and Rehab Center in Wichita, Kan.
She was born Aug. 29, 1923, in Raymondville, daughter of Ballard and Jennie Weaver Cummins. She and Thurman Westerman were married April 6, 1938.
She accepted Christ early in life and enjoyed reading her Bible.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thurman; a daughter, Jewel Marie; four brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include a daughter, Berna Bach of O'Fallon; a son, Charles Eugene Westerman of Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Nadine Raemhild of Newey, Okla.; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and many friends and other relatives.
Services were Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Butler officiating. Burial was in Allen Cemetery.
