Tyre M. Lingo was born in St. Louis county, Mo., August 20, 1821; moved with his parents to Illinois when he was 3 years old, and lived there to manhood. Was married to Martha C. Anderson Sept. 12, 1847. Moved to Maries county, Mo., in 1853, then to Crawford county in 1855, and to Texas county in 1857, which place has been his home since that time.
He was the father of 14 children, two of whom died in infancy.
He leaves a wife, 7 sons and 5 daughters, 63 grandchildren and 80 great grandchildren.
He was a farmer and a lawyer; was admitted to the bar in 1859; at the time of his death he was 81 years, 5 months and 7 days old.
