John Richard Dobelman 1935-2009

John Richard Dobelman the son of Adolph F. Dobelmann and Agnes Fanning Dobelmann was born November 21, 1935 at Old Monroe, MO and passed away from esophageal cancer Tuesday, April 28, 2009 making his age 73 years 5 months and 7days.

Jack was united in marriage to Norma McManus, to their union 3 children were born. He then married Helen Virginia Musgrave and to their union 3 children were born. After Helen Virginia’s death, Jack then married Helen Kindernay, October 12, 1979, with whom he shared his children and the rest of his life.

He worked in commercial printing from age 17 til mid 2007, when he retired. Jack and Helen also owned and operated Dobelman’s Residential Care Facility I in Summersville for approximately 10 years.

Jack was a faithful member of the St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Mountain View where he served as an usher.

Jack was well known for his chilli, which he shared at his church, friends and at many fun-raisers. He enjoyed fishing, and shuffleboard. His most precious memories were with his children and his family. His favorite football team was the St. Louis Rams which he watched on tv as often as he could.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Agnes, and his 2nd wife Helen Virginia.

He is survived by his wife Helen of the home in Summersville, MO; his sister, Sister Rose Marie Dobelman CPPS of O’Fallon, MO; his children, John Dobelman of St. Louis, MO; Victoria Mosley and Kenneth of St. Louis, MO; Lawrence Dobelman and Patti of St. Louis, MO; Michael Dobelman and Tiffany of Oak Harbor, Washington; Darren Dobelman and Marsha of Wichita, Kansas; Ryan Dobelman and Kim of Summersville, MO; 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grand-daughter; 1 aunt Irene Dobelman; many cousins and friends. Jack will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Services: were held Saturday May 2nd, at 11:00 Am at the St. John’s Catholic Vianney Church with burial in the St. John Vianney Cemetery in Mountain View, MO; with Father Ernest Marquart officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.
