Harry Daniel Kaut 1928-2008

Harry Daniel Kaut the son of the late George W. Kaut and Harriett Rachel (Milbank) Kaut was born March 24, 1928 at Arroll, Missouri. He passed away at his home in Arroll, Tuesday morning, October 21, 2008 making his age 80 years 6 months and 28 days.

Harry was united in marriage to Esther Zetta Mitchell, January 2, 1948, at West Plains, Missouri, making their union together 60 years. To this union 6 children were born, Arnold Ray; Nancy Elizabeth; Richard D.; David E; Jeff S; and Linda C. He attended Midvale Church. He went to work at Firestone in Kansas City, Missouri in 1948 and worked at Firestone until 1954. He and his family then moved to the Arroll community, where he opened a mechanic shop. He was a excellent mechanic, and would help any one in need. If you had something that wouldn’t run, Harry could usually fix it. He enjoyed gardening and his bee hives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Harriet, 2 sisters, Margaret Cherry, and Marie Bosley; 2 brothers, Al Kaut, and Ralph Kaut, 2 sons, Arnold Ray Kaut, and infant son David E. Kaut, 1 grandson Chad Kaut and 1 great granddaughter Kayanna Kaut.

Surviving are his wife, Esther Kaut of Arroll, MO; 4 children, Nancy Anderson and husband James of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Richard Kaut and wife Judy of Sarcoxie, Missouri; Linda Petty and husband Vernon of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Jeff Kaut and wife Debbie of Nixa, Missouri; and a daughter-in-law Regina Kaut of Jonesboro, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; three brothers, Tom Kaut and wife Margaret of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Raymond Kaut of Omaha, Nebraska; and Calvin Kaut and wife Verna of Arroll, MO. Harry is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were held at Bradford Funeral Home, Friday, October 24, 2008 at 1:00 Pm with Rev. Emmett Bradford and Rev. Pat Cronk officiating. Interment was in Arroll Cemetery under the care of Bradford Funeral Home.
