Donald Austin Stringer the son of William Jefferson Stringer and Eva Ethel (Ireland) Stringer was born July 29, 1933 at Hartshorn, Missouri passed away at St. Johns’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, Thursday morning, October 30, 2008 making his age 75 years 3 months and 1 day.
Donald Austin Stringer the son of William Jefferson Stringer and Eva Ethel (Ireland) Stringer was born July 29, 1933 at Hartshorn, Missouri passed away at St. Johns’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, Thursday morning, October 30, 2008 making his age 75 years 3 months and 1 day. Donald was united in marriage to Vivian Marjorie Smith, June 19, 1955. To this union 4 children were born, Warren, Dorvan, Greg, and Lisa.
Donald retired in 1995 , from Craig Charcoal where he operated a fork lift. He raised pigs and small animals on his farm. He attend Hartshorn Assembly of God Church. As long as he was able he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved playing the guitar and would play anytime he got the chance.
Donald is preceded in death by his father Jeff and his mother Eva, three infant siblings, his mother-in-law Bea Crabtree and his father-in-law Det J.C. Smith.
He is survived by his wife Vivian Stringer of the home in Hartshorn, Missouri; his 4 children Warren Stringer and his wife Tammy of Kissee Mills, Missouri; Dorvan Stringer and wife Sheri of Summersville, Missouri; Greg Stringer and wife Tammy of Summersville, Missouri; Lisa Cooley and husband Eric of Lebanon, Missouri, his 5 sisters, Ruthene Gift and husband Duane of St. Charles; Missouri, Nadine Michel of Hartshorn, Missouri; Macel Anderson and husband Frank of Broken Bow, Nebraska; Glenda Stoops and husband Dave of Hartshorn, Missouri; Norma Burch and husband Frank of Houston, Missouri; 1 brother Doug Stringer and wife Gayle of Hartshorn, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and 1 great grandson. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services were held Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 2 Pm at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with Rev. Dorvan Stringer and Rev. Gary Steelman officiating. Interment was in Antioch Cemetery in Hartshorn, Missouri under the care of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.
