Ruban Doyal Wilkins 1922-2009

Ruban Doyal Wilkins the son of William (Bill) Green Wilkins and Lula Joyce Akers Wilkins was born October 16, 1922 at Eminence, Missouri and passed away at the Circle of Life Hospice Care in Springdale, Arkansas, Monday, February 16, 2009 making his age 86 years and 4 months.

Doyal was united in marriage to Juanita Fay Ferrell, December 6, 1942 and to their union 4 children were born, William Doyal, Betty Sue, Darrell Lynn, and David Lee.

He served in the United States Army serving during WW II, from March 10, 1943 to January 20, 1946. He worked construction, until he became disabled. He like to hunt and be outdoors when his health permitted.

Preceding Doyal in death are his parents, Bill and Lula, 2 sons, William Doyal and David Lee, 5 brothers, Vernon, Clinton, Gordan, Billy, and Glenn, two sisters, Lillie Adams and Theo Price.

Surviving are his wife Juanita of the home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, daughter Betty Sue Wilkins, son Darrell Wilkins and wife Sam all of the Prairie Grove , Arkansas area; 9 grandchildren, Kenneth Doyal, Lynnita Lea, Rubecca Suzette, Stephen Shawn, William Glenn, Doyal Brent, William Brad, Amanda Nicole, Brian William; and 9 great grandchildren; 1 brother Leland Wilkins and wife Magdoline of Newburg, Missouri; 2 sisters, Thelma Warren of Denver, Colorado and Edna Engler of Topeka, Kansas. He is also survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews and a host of other family members.

Funeral Services were held Friday, February 20, 2009 at 11:00 Am at Bradford Funeral Home in Summersville, Missouri with Rev. Leland Mooney officiating. Interment and military honors were held at Shiloh Cemetery near Alton, MO under the care of Bradford Funeral Home.
