Maxine Delsia Sawyer, 88, died Friday, July 31, 2009, at Licking Park Manor.
She was born May 2, 1921, in Tyrone, daughter of Lewis and Jossie Trimble Inman. She married Earl Sawyer.
She and her husband built their home in the 1940s and lived there for more than 60 years. They enjoyed sharing coffee and visiting with neighbors.
She loved flowers and enjoyed raising them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Sawyer; a son, James Dean Sawyer; a daughter, Cleta Bowen; six brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Calvin Sawyer of Raytown, Earl "Dale" Sawyer of Cabool and Hubert Sawyer of Pleasanton, Kan.; a daughter, Lucille Telfer of Turner, Ore.; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean and Esther; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
