Lena Dosha (Lesley) Neugebauer, age 93, daughter of Allen Irl and Flossey Cordellia Riddlesburger Lesley was born February 2, 1916 in Grapeland, TX. She passed away May 29, 2009 at the Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, MO.
She is preceded in death by 1 son Freddie Neugebauer, 3 brothers; Garlin, Eldon and Ottis Lesley and 2 sisters; Mary Coleman and Geneva Brown.
Lena married Fredrick Enoch Neugebauer on July 24, 1933. He was a devoted husband for 75 years, he survives her today, also surviving are 2 sons; Carl Neugebauer and wife Diane of Anncoco, LA, and Irley Neugebauer of Houston, MO and a daughter Bea Flores and husband Joe of Nixa, MO, 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters; Tommie Inez Crowder of Patrolia, TX, Cleo Kuma of Ardmore, OK and Levita Neugebauer of Houston, MO.
She was a very talented lady, she loved to cook and can, and she was making bread up until she had her stroke only 1 week ago. Lena also enjoyed quilting and crocheting, and also loved to go to flea markets. But first and foremost she loved her family she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, nothing made her happier than spending time with her family.
Lena will be greatly missed, but we know that she is enjoying the beauty of Heaven and is rejoicing in the presence of the ones she has so long desired to meet.
